LuLaRoe is a United States-based multi-level marketing scheme/company that sells women's clothing. It was founded in 2012 by DeAnne Brady and her husband Mark Stidham and is currently based in Corona, California.As a multi-level marketing scheme, LuLaRoe recruits independent distributors (referred to by the firm as "fashion consultants") upon ordering $5,000.00 in inventory, with bonuses paid for ordering inventory and for recruitment. These bonuses are the only way for distributors to make the money LuLaRoe advertises, making it a pyramid scheme. The first to be recruited are typically the only ones to profit; 1% of a pyramid scheme's members will make money, while 80% will lose money. The startup cost has been reduced 90% in 2022. to sell products directly, often through social media.
